Data controller
ENERGY Fitness AS, company no. 929 056 140, is the data controller for the personal data processed in connection with your membership.
What we collect
- Name, contact details and date of birth
- Information relating to your membership and payment
- Check-in and use of the gym
Why
To manage your membership, give you access, handle payment and meet our obligations under the agreement with you.

- Erasure, where we are not required to keep them

There are four legal bases for processing your personal data.
- Contract, to fulfil the agreement with you on membership and access to our gyms.
- Legitimate interest, to provide good customer service, improve our services and keep the gyms running safely.
- Consent, for marketing and other purposes where we have expressly asked for your consent.
- Legal obligation, to meet our legal duties, for example under the Norwegian Accounting Act.
What else we record
- Visit history, usage patterns and training data.
- Information you give us yourself in connection with enquiries, feedback or complaints.
- Information about your use of our digital services and the website.
- Images from access control and CCTV at our gyms, for security reasons.
How long we keep it
We store the information only for as long as it is necessary for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as the law requires.
Payment information
Stored in line with the Norwegian Accounting Act.
Customer service
Customer service correspondence is stored for up to 1 year after the enquiry.
CCTV
Stored for a maximum of 14 days, unless there are particular reasons to keep it longer.
Sharing, rights
and complaints
We may share information with providers of services needed to administer your membership, with payment service providers, with system and IT suppliers who process data on our behalf, and with public authorities where the law requires it. Every third party given access to your information is bound by a data processing agreement that ensures it is handled in line with data protection law.
In addition to access, correction and deletion, you have the right to restrict processing in certain circumstances, the right to data portability, meaning that your data is handed over in a machine readable format, the right to object to certain types of processing such as direct marketing, and the right to withdraw consent where the processing is based on consent.
To use your rights, contact us at hei@energyfitness.no. We reply as soon as we can, and within 30 days at the latest.
If you believe our processing breaches data protection law, you have the right to complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. We would still encourage you to contact us first, so that we can try to resolve the matter directly. This privacy notice may be updated to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons, and the current version is always on the website.
